About Revenant
Add a subheading
Founded in 2014 by Steve Pavey, Revenant is a powerhouse band composed of Angela Long on lead and harmony vocals, Barb Ussery on Bass and vocals, Floyd Van Deusen on guitar and vocals, Tom O’Connor on guitar and vocals, and Steve Pavey on drums and vocals. With every member able to sing, the band plays a potent mix of Classic and Modern Rock as well as Power Pop, Funk and R&B that’s designed to get crowds dancing and singing along, and of course buying food and alcohol. Artists range from the classic rock and power pop of The Eagles, Cheap Trick, Blondie and Sweet to the funk and R&B of Dr.John and Joe Cocker with the modern rock of artists such as Portugal The Man, Rihanna, Halestorm and Pretty Reckless added.
Some of the places the band has played include: The Venue, The Frontier Club, The Zephyr, Little Bear, Toad Tavern, Fraco’s, Tennyson Tap, Trailside, Sit ‘N Bull, Violet’s Venue, Dickens Opera House, Bar Elevate, Dead Hippie, GI Jodi’s, Lake Avenue Inn, Wheelz, Baker Street Pub, Tailfeathers, T Bone’s, Pub On The Green and The Cigar Bar.
Revenant has it’s own PA and lights, and we usually use electronic drums as a way to better control the band’s stage volume. The band understands the difference between volume and dynamics, and we work very closely with the venues we play at to make sure the sound level of the band, while providing energy for the dance floor, is at a reasonable volume so that clientele and bar/wait staff can communicate with one another without having to shout. We understand that our job is to keep your clientele happy so they dance and buy food and alcohol, instead of going elsewhere.
